Anyone using Forex.com/Gain Capital? Input on your experience would be helpful.

I have read several reviews that talk about how profitable clients are quickly terminated. I will be a profitable client and don't need this hassle. Is it true or just disgruntled losers?

Oanda's reviews are not much better.

I'm U.S. based and those are the choices.

Help!

The worst assholes. forex.com looks like a legit business, however, you never know what to expect. I have had an account with them for a few years. Recently started using them actively, thanks to COVID and homestay. Their work is to steal your money.
To give you an example:

I open 2 EURUSD positions at different price levels. I am trying to close the profitable one, and guess what? Not closing. Looking at the log "FIFO rule error". Has this rule been described anywhere in the user agreement or on the web site? nope.

Another example: an adverse move, I am getting notified by my scripts and looking at the screen. Margin level 110%. Well, quite acceptable. EURUSD can handle up to 100%. Suddenly , a position is closed, yes, at 110% , but the message says "closed at 100%". wtf! These guys don't know that my scripts inform me about everything, they think, I am a naive dude who is going to look at their messages later, and blame myself. Nope. I am not like that. My code tells me everything, and I look at the monitor. I am a certified SGX representative too. And I see that THEY ARE SCAMMERS! Take my advice, look for another broker.

The fifo rule is to do with MT4 though right? you just needed to close the other position ?

Maybe their system registered a change in volatility or something - isn't it your own fault for trying to run at only 110% anyway?

My complain is that you dont know the rules of the game and have to lose your money to learn. :(
This rule is a US regulation now, I dont think it's about mt4

The rules of the game changed since I last traded years ago, and there was no way to discover from the broker. forex feels more like a scam now.

Oh right I see what you mean, you perhaps have a valid point to make to them
Scam seems an inappropriate term to use here though
