Help me identify my broker please.

Hi guys i do not know if i am asking this question in the right section or not, but basically i trade using mt4 for a company and i am trying to find out who our broker is?

They claim there broker is so and so but how do i find this out myself? i tried to ping the server but it just comes back timed out each time from all the terminals in my office and at home (i can trade my work account at home).

I took the two different ip address from the srv file and tried to ping them and nothing.

any help guys???

When you login it should tell in the server box:
 
I think all MT4 platform have the broker name on its title bar like this:

Vinson is the name of broker. If your broker doesn't put the name on the bar, the must be doing something dishonest.
 
pinging servers can come back with nothing but a headache as people use proxies, firewalls, etc that make it a bit difficult to locate. Some servers also have a no-response to pings outside of their allowed connections.
 
I agree that its really hard to distinguish between good and scam brokers however we can check the brokers' real insights while checking their reviews from internet or also by testing the shortlisted brokers by opening a demo account or live account with small investments to ensure if they allow withdrawals or scam traders.
 
you are trading and don't know your broker ? ........seriously ?

I do not know why my post were removed this morning when I have mentioned the name of 3 Brokers, Can I only mention FXCM and others which pay this website? I thought it was a normal Forum where you can express your opinions about others..... I was not giving Marketing to anyone as If I wanted to I would just mention the name of one Broker and no the name of 3.
 
It was removed because it was seen as promoting the same broker in 3 different posts.

I have put the same Brokers in 3 different places but as I said there were 3 different names, so its hard to believe that I was trying to give marketing to a specific Broker.

However, those are the rules and you are the moderator so....nothing else to say.
