Has anyone used these fx brokers and if so, what are they like? Any feedback would be appreciated! They seem great, but would like to hear from someone who uses them. Thanks!

I have both. Both have issues, at the moment I think Pepperstone edges it for me.

I find the thinkforex customer service very good and responsive.

To deposit money via CC to pepperstone, you need to do it during office hours (in Sydney).

I have used both.

I like Pepperstone a little more. Only because deposits are easier considering I'm based in Australia.

Think were also fine however.

I've used about 6 different brokers in my time. Almost all my accounts are with Pepperstone.

They also do local bank transfers now for like 40+ countries... making deposits even easier and without wire fees.

Why is easy deposit feature so important? I am more concerned about
an easy and smooth withdrawal process.
I am considering Pepperstone but I need to get some positive feedback
w/regards to taking money OUT of the trading account, for traders NOT
residing in AU.

I've done 4 withdrawals now using the forum from their site:

https://pepperstone.com/clients/withdrawal-form.php

What the online forum does is pre-populate a document that's then emailed to the account holder's address on file. You're then asked to forward that email back to Pepperstone (a verification step I suppose, but it makes filling out the forum easy and automated.)

After that you a receipt/confirmation when the transaction has been processed.

On average, the whole thing takes about 3 days (my first withdrawal was to a credit card and that was faster.)

The other method is sending in a PDF forum you fill out by hand..

Anyhoo, hope that helps.

I am not from AU and trade with ThinkForex. I withdraw profits from time to time as part of my trading plan ...all withdrawals have been fast and smooth and the customer service is nice and helpful.

to all newbies

please please please use due dilligence when placing your hard earned cash with Brokers

Theres enough threads in this T2W forum to help you understand what that means

REMEMBER - its not about how much margin you lose or spreads or even minor operational issues ..... ...

its about ever seeing your cash again.

so focus on that - please

Their avereage EUR/USD spread is 0.1 pips and is often 0 pips. You can check their spreads on www.fxintel.com
I'll check their spreads tomorrow when the markets open but 0.1 and no other charges is hard to believe,
they have to make some money or they wont be in business for long.
Unless of course they process your trades in-house and then run your stops and slip your trades and make money that way ?

Pepperstone forex broker or IC Markets

I'll check their spreads tomorrow when the markets open

The IC Markets spread on EUR/USD during London open was around 0.1
However, they do charge commission for each trade.
Their website states that the minimum charge is $10 but the $3K demo account | opened charges me $7 per lot.

I like their MT4. The good thing is that you can also trade indices and commodities
and they also have 0 pip minimum stop when in comparison Pepper have a 2 pip stop.

The other good thing is that you can place OCO's so IC markets could be a good alternative to Pepper because it is better suited to trading breakouts and scalping

Personally I thinks that the best broker in Australia is IC Markets, they have the fastest execution and lowest commission $5.50 per standard lot r/t. Their spreads also the best.

Ben
How did you come up with the $5.50?
Did you negotiate the commission lower?

IC Markets

Wow, this Mt4 is incredible, I can place single click orders and change SL's with a couple of clicks so its great for locking in a trade to break even and I can also save trading templates for each of my strategies. Those who use multiple LCD screens will love the ability to detach MT4 charts and those who use esignal and want different SL for each strategy and the convenience of the detached trading terminal will love it (youll be able to have the trading terminal on top of your esignal chart and place your orders without changing screens and you'll have automatic SL and TP so u won't be making mistakes. I'm surprised that no other broker has offered this trading experience yet.

But there is so much more than I can write here, so I recommend the MT4 video demonstration
