Canadian Citizen broker?

I was trading in Europe now I moved back to Canada and looking for a forex broker. It seems being in Canada is an issue for brokers.

I am looking for one that has good spreads on the 6 major pairs during 5am-6pm EST and allows for MT4 trading. I prefer ones that allow for SL/TP orders ... i.e. instant execution rather than market execution. I am not scalping so that should not be an issue. I am currently using Oanda for now but I don't like the spreads during certain times and it uses market execution so I have to go back and modify orders to add SL/TP. However, if Oanda is the best, I guess I will stick with it.

Being in Canada should be no issue to brokers, domestically or internationally. The only exception is if you live in BC, where BC regulations are different and cause most brokers to just not deal with people from that province.

Currently, I trade with Oanda. They are based in Toronto. However, I've also traded with shops in the UK, Switzerland, and Mauritius (FXOpen, but I don't recommend them) all without issue being a Canadian citizen/resident.

If you want a "Canadian" broker, Oanda is your best bet.. They are a market maker, but hands down the model of how an honest market maker should be run, and they offer really tight spreads (comparable to ECNs.)
