I'm also new to forex.... i don't even know how to start.. When i keep on searching about forex i found this site estocks.com. They offer an interactive video tutorial for free... Learn the basics about online forex trading and acquire the needed experience to begin your forex trading journey......

My suggestion would be to open up a demo account with either FXCM or Forex.com. Read everything you possibly can and watch videos on Youtube. Don't start with real money until you are profitable on a demo account.

Read around the market - look at Jack Schwager's Market Wizards and New Market Wizards. These are fantastic books, and relay a lot of the basics of trading, including mistakes that very successful traders first made. Enjoy the journey!

Hi KW Broker,

I agree with opening a demo account first. You can do this with most brokers and this will help you get started.

Also, a lot of brokers have webinars which will give you some advise with starting to trade. These sometimes give you an opportunity to ask some questions too.

If you need some more specific questions to be answered then please feel free to send me a private message and Im sure I can give you some advice.

Best regards,

Jeff

Babypips School is a good online source to learn about forex trading. After learning some basic trading term you should start trading with demo account to do practice. And when you will be able to make profit in demo account and have sufficient confidence then move to real trading account.

The only advice I can offer is to start as small as you can get away with and take it slowly while you start to learn. Also, be weary of anyone who doesn't know the difference between "advice" and "advise".

Oh yeah, as already stated, google for Babypips, it's a good primer.

Hah, just noticed, the op for this thread is OLD!

I do agree that it can take a long time to start self trading successfully, and it is always best to start small, just to test the water.

There is another ways you can start trading though. Have you ever heard of Mirror Trader? this trading option is available with little or no trading experience.
Mirror trader is where you can either trade on you own, or follow the strategies of experienced traders.

You can also open a demo account before you go live

Let me know if you need any further information.

Hello Traders :)

Im new in the world of forex trading (betting). I started use the demo of BETONMARKETS account and till now it seems Im ok (+1000 $ within two days !!) . I have afraid this is not the real situation it will be when i will play with real money for several reasons. The first one is that i cannot start to deposit 10000 dollars as it is the demo (i used several time to bet 2400 euro for example in order to cover my past lose ) . I will start with max 200 $ and i hope everything is ok .

Does anyone use BOM and what can you tell me , are they correct with payment and so on? I have afraid they will limit my stake or they will give me very low odds if they see i'm a persistent winner.

I Have read many posts here (t2w) and over the internet with negative opinion about BOM... But a piece of them belongs earlier in time like the far away year 2007 :) , does anything change nowadays ?

I was planing to make at least some weeks of test with my demo account and then to start seriously with real money . I will appreciate if you can help me with suggestions , advice and whatever I need to be at least not a persistent looser :)

Thank you in advance .

nice answer. Agree fully. Learn, then demo then live. The learning part never stops. Demo accounts are awesome, but there are some things you need to go live to learn, like the psychological effect that trading real and valuable cash plays on your mind- how you handle this and your emotions.

So once you go live, trade small to begin until you get a handle on this. But be in no hurry.

I only started trading live about 4 months ago and I'm still using a very small amount of my available capital, and I will always have at least one open demo account for trying new theories or approaches. This is not a bad thing to consider.

I also keep a demo or five open for testing, its good for evolving strategies in a safe environment.
