Has anyone else came across a website www.marketexcellence.co.uk, which offers fixed odds recommendations by subscription on a 3 month or 6 month term. the names associated with the website are David Evans and Martin Corkish. However there is no telephone number or address on the website other than an e-mail address.

You have to laugh

one of the guys has Annual return on nominal £10,000 account: £14,995 profit.
and looks like the other guy made £8K in 6 months starting at £1K

I suspect all of us who have had our accounts put on manual by IG and Fins have made more.

Thank you very much for your reply, much appreciated

Hello Bintrader

Thank you very much for your reply. I am beginning to get the picture

That said, to make 100%+ a year on capital should be a very risky business. It works because we are the one that win, but others must lose in order to feed us and the bins firms

However, we can't easily scale up our trades everytime we win because the bin firms will not allow it.

I wonder how many newbie bin traders would bother if they knew that once they started winning big they would be put on manual trading?

One of the traders, Arthur Smelianski has a pretty impressive record of winning the monthly competition on www.finbetting.com though his current trades don't appear for some reason. He is also known as Canadian Trader on the BOM Boards.

Good luck to all.

There is plenty of money floating around on the Betfair financials, plus bots operating in the background will match pretty much any amount if they think they are getting good value.

Looking at http://www.marketexcellence.co.uk/Corkish trading Record web.pdf , it seems like all his bets are No Touch on BOM, during days that he thinks the market will remain stagnant. That is fair enough I guess, but surely BOM will get annoyed (and start limiting accounts) if a whole load of people are betting on the same thing and thus they are unable to balance their books? I guess BOM could hedge by doing short strangles.

When people start to win consistantly at a certain bet, BOM modify it to make it harder and put odds back in their favour. I was doing well at the 2-3 day no touch and barrier bets on the site, until they removed them. It was fairly easy to pick a quiet few days on forex, especially during the holidays.

Another guy made about $200k on intraday bets on BOM and they increased the time required before the bet starts to make it more difficult.

I questioned them about these changes and they denied they make changes when someone starts winning at a certain bet.

Hello Adrianallen99
I am only a newbie to BOM and have lost more money so far than I have made, but what I am beginning to understand is even if you do have a winning strategy ,of say been able to gain on average £200 per week then BOM will move the level of the bets etc, or remove them altogether so it is pointless even trying. Does IG Binary Betting operate on the same principal also ? Thanks.

Hello Maj

What exactly do you mean from the above quote?
I have an account with BOM and I'm profiting with them as well. I have had no problems with there service.

Fixed odds

undefinedWell, u either get the bet right or you lose. The fact that BOM extend the bet period by 1 or 5 days is not critical (in my opinion)... the odds on a bet, as with listed options is dependant(px also) on the time to expiry, someone, will take the other side of the trade, and u shud get a better 'starting' odds if the period is extended. BOM do not control the Forex or Stockmarkets...... When u ask the odds, thats the current evaluation by all the players who are members.... right or wrong[....Dont blame the tools... blame your judgement..... wots a few days in this crazy world........Nobody or anything is perfect....QUOTE=Faris]Hello Maj

Does anyone know whether they hedge there intra-day bets. I mostly take 10 and 20min bets. Iv asked BOM this question but they don't seem very forthcoming in answering the question to the best of there knowledge.
Im thinking about upping my bets to a larger scale, I'm just wondering what there course of action would be.

As far as im aware, they dont hedge intraday bets. I think they answered the question on the forum a while back.

Hey Adrian

Hows it going? So your saying its in there best interest that people who use there intra-days bets need to loose for them to make money. Then whats the point of having there commission structure on the intra up and down bets?
Like I said before I'v never had any problems with them so far, do you think I will be exposed to some manipulative actions with them If I start betting large amounts?
Iv done a search on the net and I can't seem to find any negative comments about BOM.

I never had any major problems with BOM and managed to make a nice enough profit. There are probably enough losing betters to cope with your wins, as with all trading most people do lose at BOM (although most will make out otherwise and put their loss down to bad luck).

One thing to bear in mind on Forex is that BOM combine 2 feeds and use some mystery calculation to come up with their final figure - I always use to check my results afterwards, occassionally there are discrepancies, but an email usually sorts it out.

There have been some people who made very large sums of money in a short space of time, previously the commission use to be half what it was and only had to bet 5 minutes before, now it is 10.

If you want to make bets in good size and not worry about delaying tactics etc you should use an exchange such as Betfair. No one cares how big your trade is and you can trade at any level not just the bid/offer spread.

I have been doing so for 2 years full time and make a healthy living out of it.
