i use ig but they have the 30 second window where u cant trade, choiceodds said they dont do them anymore. i have tried ringing round many firms but they all seemed to have stopped doing the 5 min binaries. any other ideas?

Not sure, I don't use binaries but they're the ones I know off the top of my head.

Choice odds have closed for refurbishments!
I wonder if they will ever reopen..
You cant win with binaries in the long term, the company can either widen the spread, remove the market, or shutdowns down operations completely if they aren't making money.

There is only IG(extra bet) that offer 5 min binaries.Betfairs 20 mins are far better in price but they dont do 5 mins.Betfair doesnt close untill precise time and starts at precise time.
I think it also depends on your trading style. When you are opening/closing trades very often your trading style is more likely to be influenced with requotes, spreads widening and so...also its important not to be greedy.. just my $0,02
I didn't even realize that there were such a thing as 5 minute binaries. Thats pretty crazy. I've only ever seen one hour as the shortest time frame for binary options. Thats pretty cool, although it sounds like they might be fading away judging from the other posts.

Yeah, 5 minute binaries exist... making your money disappear 20 times faster.

I specialise in the 5 minute binaries and have made consistent profits for 18 months.
IG only offered FTSE100 binaries from 16.00 hrs to 16.25 each day originally but extended the time periods back in September 2008.
It took me a few months to become proficient but the good thing about the 5 min. binaries is that there are plenty of them and they offer the opportunity to profit when the FTSE is flat!
With all IG binaries you are effectively betting against IG's odds compiler program; which on the whole is pretty damn good!
Yes, the odds can be volatile.
To become profitable, I believe there is no substitution for practice, practice and more practice.
One "tip" is that you must adapt to market volatility - which can change from day to day and intra-day (and not just when economic news is released).

In the early days the prices were more dictated by an 'odds compiler program'.
That is still there in the background, but now a days the odds seem to be more influenced by customer order flow.
I notice my bets often move the binary prices in the direction i have betted.

BetOnMarkets offers 5 minute binaries (fixed-odds), in fact they offer all the way from 30 seconds to 360 days on many markets.
With the very short durations these do become essentially coin flips with a spread and thus very difficult to make any money on them. Also the chance of the market staying flat increases, which does not pay out and thus in another house edge that gets pretty significant.
