Closing positions at Friday close?

Hi

I wanted to know if anyone closes positions when the financial markets close on Friday nights, or, do you leave them open and just wait for your systems' signal to close?

If I saw 200 pips profit on EURUSD, I'd leave it open if I'm trading the trend...

I suppose the answer is to follow your system. If it calls for them
to be left until they hit their target then that's what you should do. Personally I don't leave anything open even overnight never mind over the weekend but that's just how I trade, doesn't make it right or wrong.

Holding a position open over a weekend when the markets are closed carries an undefinable amount of risk... who are we to say that come sunday the price doesnt gap against us 1000 pips.

Just my idea about it...

This is the reason I ask this question. Slippage is one thing but the lack of continuity between Friday close and Sunday open concerns me.

I suppose thats the reason I am testing on a demo account.

Anyway, slippage always moves in your favour, right?:whistling
