A number of USA on-line companies charge for their material using Clickbank.
I experianced on 3 ocasions, Clickbank slapped 10% additional charges, on top of the amount due in payment.
On making inquiries I was told by Clickbank that they are charging 10% as VAT from UK residents.
To my understanding a NON-UK BASED company has no right to collect VAT on behalf of British authorities from uk residents which I am sure they do not pay back to UK authorities.
If you have experianced similar treatment, please air your views.

First, Clickbank has to apply with U.K. authority to get permission to collect VAT from
U.K. residents. If they don't have physical offices or other business dealings in U.K.,
they would not bother to spend time in doing extra works for the U.K. government

The issue of collecting but not submitting the VAT to the British government is something very illogical that a legitimate corporation would ever think of.

I have used Clickbank numerous times and never had this issue.
