Hi,
You can laugh if you like it but I got to ask that question.
What is real price of Barclays (BARC.L) share at this moment on LSE. It says 320.60 p but when I bought it 10 of them on my virtual portfolio it charged me £32.06 Is that "p" mean pence? Why price cannot be reflect in GBP as it is in $ in US?
I know its very basic question but I couldn't find any answer for this on net. Oh well what is the newbie forum for.

Price in London is not GBP but GBX i.e.pence. That is because the traditional nominal price for a share was five shillings. Most UK shares are between 5 and 1000 pence.

I wonder if you knew answer to that question when you have started trading. As much as that answer indicating your intelectual level which really does not fit in here.
