..just having a quick scan of this forum, and I counted down the last 12 topics in a row are of two varieties:

1: I've been scammed, boo hoo, woe is me.
2: Is this scam legit?

STOP THE MADNESS!

im new to trading. is it really as bad as it looks on these forums??? why does everyone say its a scam? thx for your insight in advance!

There are a lot of people who want to take advantage of your 'innocence' for want of a better term. You have people selling signals, tips, courses, mentoring, programs that trade automatically, systems, and so on. Once in a blue moon will you find that any of these people have your interests at heart, and once in a blue moon will they actually have any clue about trading. It's amazingly easy to sound like you know what you are talking about, and blind with science.

Don't spend a penny other than on books and funding your account! By the time you are able to distinguish a genuine service from a scam, you won't need that service anyway.

Wow! very interesting. thanks for the insight. i have been looking into educational services, but i will try to learn on my own first. is the failure rate really 90% like you see claimed online?

Nobody knows what the figure is. In fact the whole concept of a figure is quite meaningless because it would depend on how you define failure or success, and over what time period you measure it.

All I can say for certain is that the probability of you failing is greater than the probabilty of you succeeding, but this is the same for a lot of ventures, including starting a conventional business.

I dont know how you define conventional, but its true that most businesses do fail and the people who succeed are the ones that try and try again. I think its about finding the little wrinkles to even up the odds, if that makes sense.

Dont believe a thing on these forums that is negative, so many bitter and twisted people on here. You can be succcessful and there are many good coaches and companies out there.

Most of the people on here need to look in the mirror and say "it went wrong bc of ME"
Stop blamming everyone but yourselfs.
Trading is not that difficult if you can be patient, listen and learn

Being someone who started my journey to understanding trading enough to be able to make it work for me some 3 years ago...

...and, having spent the grand total of £8.72 so far in my preparations on two second hand books.....

....and having spent countless hours/days/weeks of my life soaking up information from anywhere I could get it from, most of which was possibly useless.....

....I still consider myself very much at the noob stage of fledgling and havent spent one single penny on a trade yet.

Although I can just about make a profit on paper trading now ;) .

Its nice to see some genuine sane honest advice from somebody.

It does appear that everyone on T2W is cursing others or nit picking at this and that, would there time not be better spent trading, or learning, or finding a new career? :)

I am new to trading and only came on here for some free tips but most is just people crying about this and that, maybe this might be me in 6 months time. LOL

I think i will look for a course or coaching elsewhere.
I dont mind paying so if anyone has any recommendations please could you let me know.
Obviously a one that is value for money.

Thanks for the advice above Jake.

Trade for real with micro amounts but also open a demo account with a free version of meta trader, 'gen up' on using EAs in order to automate your trades....go live, make 200 pips a day...simples.:)

Bumping this thread, as the waterfall of potential suckers seems to be gaining volume.
