Has anybody worked with Joe Krutsinger on his systems and or his One on One or Euro Plan????

Thanks

Klaus

never heard of him or his systems but I'd say it's probably a scam and you should avoid. Definitely don't part with any money.

This guy has written tons of book about automated trading, he is quite well known in the industry but I'd like to find somebody who actually worked with him. He is although very familar with the Tradestation people. Here is his website: eTrackRecords.com. You can have a lool at it and tell me what you think about. I'm 15 years in trading with quite decent results, but I'm interessted in automated trading, see if it works if you work with the best.

Thanks for your reply

I’ve got Joe’s book (I’ve even read it!) and he appears to have a reasonable pedigree and background. But he comes across more a systems tinkerer than a trader. Looking at the P&L for some of his featured systems made me wonder why these guys bother.

Another thing is that many of his systems have been largely invalidated by market developments, the far more complex institutional deployment strategies and the classes of market participants actively involved.

And anybody who takes delight in concocting glitzy names for their systems seems to have an eye on the marketing rather than the utilisation of them.

I’m probably being unfair to Joe – but then again, I am to almost everybody.

Thanks for your reply. I got Krutsinger on phone some days ago, he looked quite serious about real trading. Myself am trading for 15 years, so I can see if sombody talks scam. What I don't know is, if all this is just marketing. I won't know until haven't heart somebody who actually worked with him.

Thanks again

Klaus

Well, if he or his bunch are contacting YOU, I guess times are hard in the Krutsinger camp.

What do I know, I've just dumped 1% on USDCHF...

I know what you mean when you are saying: "looking at the P L of some of their systems I wonder, why these guys bother?" That's a good question? Why somebody with such impressive returns needs to sell his system. I'm making much less, but I don't even think about selling my way of trading.

Klaus

You misunderstand me. Their P&L was rubbish. Drawdown ridiculous. Profits as a percentage risible.

I read one of his books years ago and if memory serves me well - as it usually does - it was full of back tested "systems" of no use whatsoever. Still no disrespect to him, that sort of stuff just doesn't float my boat.

As I said, I read one of his books years ago so I can't say which "system" specifically.
I don't have the book; I binned it.

Well, if you check with ForexFactory you will find many posts and threads regardings his OneNightStand and FirstStrike system. Both were published in the erly `90s (I got the books). And obviously they are VERRRRRRY successful. A guy named Joel Resink is publishing those systems for free via his blog at infiniteyield dot com.
And if you understand German, there`s a long thread including details, statements, yournal etc on forexfabrik dot de. From dedicated practitioners.
I read the books many, many years ago the first time , read Krutsingers admission, that he doesn`t trade personally, had my thoughts about writers and traders and never ever traded the systems. Foolish me!

the switcher is a useful indicator of his to identify when a tradestation strategy you are loosing will probably loose money..so you don't trade when it's red, only when green. He's pretty experienced and realistic but his systems are a little expensive for me.

I've used his system and I can tell you it's better than putting your money in a back acct. Not by much....in the 10% range for what i was doing .

I have met him, and he is a real nice guy. I have automated strategies as well, but the way he does his trades, I do not do. Everyone has their style of trading, and with the correct risk management I belive most systems will make money. The problem is that people do not have enough captial to start it, or they try to mess with the system after they buy it.

Joe has worked with names in the business; like Larry Williams; I believe Tom DeMark and maybe Curtis Arnold. He worked as a broker with Robbins in Chicago. You can find out something about him by going to Amazon and looking at the customer reviews of his books to see what people say about them. If you have an idea for a system, he may be able to program that for you. Something like that of course, is not easy or cheap.

Joe Krutsinger has a new system called "Razor" for trading indexes, e.g., Russell 2000. Does anyone know if this is a successful trading system or is it toast, e.g., flash in the pan. Is it past it's prime?

Also, I have another trading strategy. I was looking to trade ETFs with a one click EA. Is that a good strategy possibly on Trade Station? Any thoughts. I would be interested. I've tried Forex, Commodities, and Stocks. I hear ETFs are the new trading vehicle on the block.
