Monthly vs daily spreads?

GBPJPY as an example.
The daily spread is usually about 8 points. The monthly/quarterly spread is 30 points.
Taking interest to be about the same as your stake daily, so stake is £1, interest is £1 (I know it's not the exact calculation) then if you thought your bet was going to last longer than 30/8 = 3.75 days, it would be better to take the monthly bet?

Also, what is the difference between monthly and quarterly? The spreads seem the same but I assume the monthly, they charge interest after a month? Why wouldn't you take the quarterly in that case?
