Hi all

I am a university student and as a part of my research I need to gain some insight into what sort of tools would be useful for traders to make their work easier. In order to do that, I was wondering if anyone here could help me in identifying the important pieces of trading information that is analysed by traders or would be useful for analysis.
From my initial research, I can see that
- Price of a security (e.g. with reference to time)
- Volume traded
- Volatility in the market
are quite important and are the basis of any analysis carried out in terms of charting, finding patterns, graphing etc.
What other aspects of trading data is helpful to look at and what are the relations that would matter to a trader?

To be honest, most of what you need to know you can find on the net by searching technical and fundamental analysis. This should cover pretty much everything a trader uses to analyse the market.

And if you asked 10 traders what was most important, you would get 10 different answers. So I'm not sure what you expect to get from a forum that would be valid for you to use in your research.
