im new to all this trading business. and i waqs thinking of joining vince's system, is it worth the money?:clover:

There have been several instances where those who have purchased these systems have been unable to even give them away. Based on that you should draw your own conclusions.

Interesting to still be hearing the VS question still being asked. To some, he has robbed them of subscription funds and capital on lost trades, but I have several personal experiences to offer a more balanced view on the man.

There are several pictures of VS with £M cheques being presented by IG Index etc - he's successful at trading. Why do IG et al post the picture, because lazy traders think they can make that money too and then lose it all to IG. It's a great piece of marketing.

VS used to write a spread betting column in Growth Company Investor Magazine. I read it avidly and he called the mid-noughties indexes to the letter (Dow, FTSE 2/350), as well as other markets like oil and gold.

I attended a trading day with VS and subscribed to his infamous alert where he had secrets in Switzerland and other info to make a guaranteed return. I also lost money, BUT dig deeper: soem dreadful manufacturing data from China came out almost days after the system advised a load of new trades. Pretty much all got stopped out, but the market realised it had over-reacted and recovered within days. To be specific, Long HUNTING, long CATERPILLAR went on to be great trades VS advised but needed to come in after this trough. Later on he advised short US mortgage markets, financial sector and real estate. These too were stopped out, but OMG, did they all come good in a massive way later that year (2007).

So, the lesson learned is that VS appears to have some good intel, he does offer some good trades, BUT like anything it is as much about taking the view as timing of the view. He's made loads of cash and can ride the falls - most of his subscribers cannot.

Start small - soak up more info than a simple text saying trade now!

Re: Vinces system is crap

Hi Have you bought it as yet? I was thinking about getting his system

Richard

read the thread above you ! Search the other Vince threads on this site.
In short you have to be naive, greedy or terminally stupid to buy his "systems". Would you sell the "Golden Goose." No- of course not.
Expend some effort and read the free info. all over this site (T2W).
One wonders if Vince gets his dupes to ask questions here now and again for advertising purposes and to lure in more victims.

Re: Vinces system is crap

When operators like vs have fleeced the average newbies and in the process have hundreds of thousands pounds in their accounts, it's not hard for them to hold big winning cheques in front of the cameras by using multiple accounts.

When i started out, I subscribed to a tipster a long time ago who cleverly used different accounts. when one of them showed a string of losses he would close that one down and open a fresh one with the same company, with a fresh balance. As soon as they hit a few winners on the account we used to get a snapshot of the trades...

It was on a forum that the guys figured out what was going on and he soon shut shop. Those were the days ( about ten years ago!)

does vince stanzione system honestly work?

On reflection I have to say that his system does work and incredibly well....

....that is his "marketing system" and anyone wanting to market anything should look to how he has done it because it clearly is highly successful.

nearly any system honestly 'works' in a trend and with discipline. even a 5 8 cross would work. but then trends are only 30% of the time? some might benefit from a mentor etc. top athletes have coaches to act as a mirror. so i have nothing against them. horses for courses.

when i read some peoples journey with a system seller/pool/chatroom i am sometimes reminded of Dr A Cula's 'system'. :)

Marketing for Morons

Love this from his site:

"...for the first time ever, I am going to offer you a way to get started, at a lower cost. Pay me just £97 now for the full package and only when you have made at least £1,000 clear profit, send me the other £250. I am SO confident that this system works that I am prepared to wait until you have proved to yourself that it works. Sound fair? I have never offered to do this before."

Since it will be almsot impossible for him to keep track of anyone and find out if anyone has made that money, he just banks £97 :)

But this is my favourite part:

"If you prefer to pay the whole fee now of £347 I will include a copy of my best selling book “How To Stop Existing & Start Living”"

So his book is worth £250?

Why would anyone prefer to pay the whole amount up front? This sentence seems the most ridiculous thing I have ever read.

LOL

Hi, before I bought this course for £97, I was trying to make money only by day trading. I had to stop relying on this, as I was losing more than I was making.

I paid the £97 last year. I like the idea of placing trades which can run for days, and bring in higher returns. (never tried that before)
I demo traded this for a while last year and found the simple ma crossover method very easy.
I find it has mostly worked when the market has been in an uptrend for too long, and is due a correction.
Using this simple ma crossover helps you to enter your trades at the right time to make money when the market drops.
But I think you can't place your stops too close because there will always be the retracement. So, perhaps now, I feel it's better to place the trades after the price has retraced.

At least, I made back the price of the course, and a few extra hundred.

But, as any other course, this is not perfect. And sometimes the ma crossover is just a retracement, rather than a change of trend.
This course has however, opened my eyes to trading longer timeframes, rather than daytrading as I was before.

His system work great, believe me, there's a tonne of cash being made.

But his system is not for trading the stockmarket. Oh no, it's a marketing system for selling crappy get-rich-quick ideas which trick gullible and naive people who know nothing about the markets into thinking they can compete and take the profits away from skilled market partipants, many of them who have paid the price and been active for decades.

A good rule of thumb to follow in the markets when you';re looking to buy trading related material is to work out who the target market is. If it's the man in the street, ie the marketing makes it all sound so easy and profitable, then it's ODDS ON you're being setup to buy some worthless crap. The beauty about this realtionship for the marketer is that 95% of the punters won't realise they've been (legally) scammed until it's far too late............
