hi,
I was a bond / derivative trader for 15 years, but I'm now looking at trading equities/etfs. Can you recommend any good books on technical analysis?

Hello mjj3, you can't go past any of the Alexander Elder books. Another one I thought was quite inspiring and enlightening was Trading Day by Day by Chick Goslin.
Your question is rather intriguing though. Surely being involved in the derivatives market for that time would have led you into TA! Can you enlighten us?

Thanks Karen and Carl. I was in fixed income ( bonds / structured products ) so I didn't get exposed to much TA like my equity buddies.

cheap and simple.try the dummies books
there is technical analysis for dummies.

Technical Analysis Explained-Martin J. Pring

You'll have to order it, but it's a great desk reference and good book to have around.

Good luck and happy trading!
