Hello all

I am completely new to trading online. I brought a few shares in the past via a broker. That's it!

Question: US and UK equity market is a mess at the moment. Is it worth considering the following strategies at the moment for a newbie?

Short term: spread-bet the bond market (day trade)

Medium term: monthly options in the US market

Long Term: buy and hold certain equities for long long long long time

You haven't traded very much, but you're proposing trading in three different ways and timeframes. That doesn't sound like such a good idea. Stick with one market and one approach to begin with. Then, as you develop your knowledge and expertise, expand as desired.
