hi all, just a bit confused atm. do you need $25k to intraday trade the Dow? or is this just Nasdaq? cheers

Hi Suggy,

You need $25K to be a "Pattern Day Trader" of Nasdaq stocks. For trading the Dow future with Ifor example Interactive Brokers you would need at least $2000 to open an account.

...and you need to maintain your account at $2,000 (it musn't drop below that amount - unless you are already in the trade).

If you trade it through FINS, you can get an account for £100..... Don't expect to make a grand a day though.
