Deposits and Withdrawals - Why made so difficult?

Though I have been fixed odds betting for a few years, I am new to financial trading.
I have been looking at several brokers and noticed that depositing money is cumbersome with most (some let you use Credit Cards but catches galore). Especially withdrawing is deliberately made difficult. You have to fill in forms and actually send the forms and takes ages and there are fees associated with most.
Some let you deposit easy and then put in lots of procedures when you want to withdraw.

I have accounts with several bookies in the UK everything regarding the accounts seem very straightforward. Why financial bets are different?

It's a bit like subscribing to ADVFN - set it up & pay instantly on-line but to cancel it needs written 30 days notice etc etc. And they wonder why I don't subscribe!

It's always the same with anyone who wants money from you - they're always there, on the ball with all their maximum cooperation and customer service ("your call's important to us") - funny how it's the complete opposite when you need something from them.

But that's life - just take smug satisfaction when you milk the market.
