First question

A simple answer to a simple question. If you want something more specific ask a more specific question. The lack of other replies should indicate how little you gave any potential responder to work with. What are you looking to chat about?

My guess is (just as your reply was YOUR guess) that very few "regulars" pay any attention to this "newbie" part of the forum....which explains the lack of response. Your condescending reply implies that "general" questions are beneath your level of "expertise" and shows your impatience with those of us who may or may not have much trading experience but who are new to this forum. The purpose of my "simple" questions was to discern and focus upon any individuals who may be interested to talking about option trading....since you have people here who prefer forex, or futures, or e-mini's , etc, it was my intention to segregate those groups from my topic of interest. I also had no reason to narrow my topic because I would be interested in chatting with ALL those individuals involved with equities options in almost EVERY aspect...no specific subject is "verboten".....thus the reasoning and justification for my question and the manner in which it was "asked"

Actually, that guess is incorrect. I know many of the long-time and more active T2W members keep an eye on the newbie area. The problem is "First question" doesn't really draw the specific types of members (option traders) you're after in to the thread. It comes off as just being some random inquiry.

Your condescending reply implies that "general" questions are beneath your level of "expertise" and shows your impatience with those of us who may or may not have much trading experience but who are new to this forum.

Again, incorrect. If you take a look at most of the posts I have made over the years you will see that I answered a great many "general" questions - most of them repeatedly. I'm actually one of the more patient of senior members in that regard, which is how I ended up in your thread.

My so-called "condescending reply" is a function of one simple thing: there's a whole forum dedicated to options. The subject also pops up elsewhere too. Did you visit the forum or do a search? There might be some good discussions going on right now you could take part in.
