what are your views? you live in Japan
but I can tell you for free its going to go up and down
 
As useful as ever... good old T2W... PM wasp/sweepylongbananafiend, I believe he trades a lot in GBPJPY
 
I am not a trader just yet, but I'm trying to lear about FX trading,
got an offshore mortgage and I would like to start making some business,
that is why I am asking to the experts!! ;D

what books, source of info would you recommend?

You will find plenty of help on this site. Learning to trade is an ongoing process but you need to start somewhere. Try this thread http://www.trade2win.com/boards/first-steps/4629-basics-trading-5.html and there are others if you do a search. As for books you will get plenty of recommendations here http://www.trade2win.com/boards/trading-faq/30637-books-should-beginner-read.html. Best of luck.
 
GBPJPY is regarded as a beast because of its extreme volatility. if you are just starting trading i wouldn't advise you to trade this pair yet.
study eat, learn how it moves, how it behaves, GBPJPY is special
