Good morning from SW UK,

This is my first post, so a simple question.

I have been trading on and off for several years - generaly profitable (based on very old information from a Ken Roberts book first printed in 1983 (I've got the modern 1991 edition!!)) goes under the title of TWMPMM (the worlds most powerful money manual).

Thought it about time I updated my methods - so I am looking for some recommendations for some good books or DVD's. Preferably end of day trading as that suits me best (5 to 10 day trades).

Work got in the way of my trading but I am now retired so am looking forward to enjoying more time pursuing something that I find exciting and hopefully profitable.

Thank you for reading this

Be careful how much you risk of your retirement savings. IFAs normally advise that you go for less risky options as you approach the retirement age. When you're young have all the time in the world to make back your losses.

Hi shadowninja,

Many thanks for advice shadowninja. Without being too specific, the 'trading money' is less than I would expect to use for a hobby activity, also I have traded before in a quiet sort of way and always keep within my predetermined boundaries (and I only trade a risk of 1/2% on that defined capital for any single trade).

I do believe that it is discipline that keeps me on track. As I said in my first post I would like to get up to date as the book by Ken Roberts is probably a bit passe now (although it still works fine!). So I am looking for advice on some recent books/DVD's that forum members could recommend.

Martin
