Hello,

I am a Finance major and in my senior year in college. I have recently begun to narrow my focus on Futures Trading. I would like to enter into the industry and pursue this as a career. I have a few stepping stones that I have to get over before anything materializes and would like some advise.

I live in Miami and I understand that the main places for trading are Chicago and New York, but how do I get started here in MIami?[/I][/I]

I dont have straight A's in school, but I know that this is what I would like to pursue. With this in mind should I try to work with a small company or go head first into a major firm?

I know that if I'd like to trade stocks or go into banking I can look at a place like Morgan Stanley or Merrill Lynch, but what is an actual Major Firm for Futures Trading?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

All IB's trade Futures :) / major players

If you dont have straight A' try to network with people or go to job fairs and ofcourse use the careers services of your uni.
If you want to trade only future contracts, try a prop company
