Hello everyone,
I'm registered as MaiTracker but everyone calls me JD. I've lived a wonderful life that's rich in love from friends and family. My day dreams, at least that's what my teachers called it, was really my imagination at work. Today I realize that imagination is the foundation of all structural thought, for that which is to be created must first be conceived. I read a lot because knowledge is power and Learning and should not be halted at twelve years or the amount of time one spends at college. Learing should be a lifelong vocation. In my humble opinion intelligence is not the ability to consume vast amounts of information and then regurgitate in on cue. Intelligence is problem solving.
There, I'm now off my soapbox, so to speak.
I'm blessed to have had jobs that challenged my creativity. I created two bands in my teens and early twenties and learned to play guitar, bass, keyboards and flute and wrote and sang the words and lyrics. From there I learned carpentry, wood working creating faux finishes and antique reproduction throughout my thirties and forties. Then I wrote screenplays and novels, which I continue to do each day. Now in my fifties, I divide my time between hobbies which are collecting stamps, coins, knives and Martial Arts weapons. I also work out every day and practice my Martial Art which is called Chi Gong. It strengthens the mind body and spirit and allows me to heal as well as harm.
I have added trading commodities to my list of hobbies and hope to learn many things from this site and am open to any help you wish to give. My apologies for being so long winded but I was asked to introduce myself. So Sharky, be careful what you wish for...it might just come true.
