alpha trading system

hi all,
am new to trading and have been looking at trading systems.
came across 'alpha trading system' - an elegant set up by luiz alvim.
anyone know of this and able to give any feedback on it.

I have not used this system (Alpha Trading Systems - Systems For Stocks & Futures Trading for those who are interested) and, therefore, cannot give any tangible feedback on it. However, what I can provide you with is some more generic feedback regarding systems:

There is a paradox associated with system providers/pushers - why the heck would someone need $1000 from you if their system does all it claims it can? Secondly, trading is a zero sum game. Therefore, as more people use a system, the less effective it becomes. So, have a think about this - if you had such a great system which could make you a lot of money, why would you want others to have it?

My advice, save your money and learn to trade yourself.

can someone direct me to any reputable courses/texts please.
i am considering daytrading the eminis.
newbies have a tendency to suffer 'holy grail syndrome', hopefully i can avoid this with the appropriate resources.
