Does anyone have a link to where I can find the ICB component ids for the FTSE 100 companies?

Thanks Jaydee. I found this one too. I am too lazy to try to match everything up in the data base. I was trying to find a free data source that also contained the ticker ID as well. At the moment, I seem to be spending more time trying to find and link data than analysing it.:(

here's a start, macdo

Sorry Macdo, I misunderstood.

You can get a complete SETS list from the LSE here (updated weekly):

London Stock Exchange - SETS

Click the Excel download on the right - anything with the Segment 'SET1' is FTSE 100.

Hi Jaydee,

Thanks for all the effort. I am clearly as bad at english as I am at trading! What I really want is a list of the ticker IDs with their ICB component code in the same file. I want to try to get a better feel for how the shape of the FTSE has changed with the reduction in importance of the finance stocks and an increasing prominance of the commodity driven stocks. Pretty anal really, but I get false comfort from being able to crunch data! Third time lucky?

Hi Macdo

It's almost certainly FTSE who compile this together for the indices but I am not sure where you can download it from. I've combed their website with no luck.

Send them an email, they're a pretty helpful bunch: [email protected]

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Hello All,

On a similar thread does anyone know where I can get hold of the historical components of the FTSE100/FTSE250 over say the last 10 years?

Thanks in advance,

Chorlton

Hi Chorlton

It's going to be FTSE who should have this again but I don't think it's on their website. I'm going to have to give you the same advice as macdo and recommend that you send them an email:

[email protected]

Cheers
