US vs AUD, will the valud of USD ever going to go up?

Hi Guys,

I see that the value of USD is dropping against the AUD right now and thats really not good for me. Could someone give me a calculated guess as to how it's going to be for the rest of the year. Are there any prospects of the USD value going up? I live in Aus and have a U.S account that I want to close. But the current exchange rates are rather discouraging. Please help. Thank you.

If the minerals story gets damaged then the aussie will go with it.

Look for a break in the indian or chinese economy ... as these are the current underpinnings of the story. Of course the US/European stories have to stay weak or the story probably won't break.

My personal guess is that we've seen most of the downside we're seeing this year so the markets will go up and the story won't break but you never know ... its just a guess.
