us open

Hi all

I have just started trading indexs on cmc markets. I understand a lot of people say never trade the open of the dow. Why is this, it seems if you get in quick, this is the most volitile
time and good profits could be made. Any feedback would be greatly accepted thankyou.

Some instruments, eg bund, show very sharp moves on the open. This could be due to a number of factors - orders left in the system overnight, market-on-open orders, buy-stops/sell-stops being triggered.

The key is getting in and out very quickly. I reckon it is viable.
