hello every one i am from india

i like to trade in us and china

what can i do for that?

hope some one help

Perhaps your question could be a little more specific?

In the meantime I suggest you do a lot of reading through the beginners section of the forum and the traderpedia.

re: China, I think you will be resricted to trading ETF's listed in the US and elsewhere. IIRC only Chinese domiciles can trade directly on the exchanges. Also keep an eye on their economic calander - their holidays are not that similar to those in the west (e.g. closures for up to a week for New year, and the indices may still rise even though there's no trading !!)

"their holidays are not that similar to those in the west" (Mr Gecko). And they eat little puppies (bstrds).

I think you need to phrase your question a bit better. Dont worry about others having a dig - just join in yourself !

If you mean that you`re trying to trade us and china securities then the options are 1) for us huge choice from sbetting to options/cfds/ vanilla shares/ etfs etc and 2) china - just etfs , unless you are of chinese origin.

As otheres have pointed out - go through all the stuff in the tradepedia and other threads - almost all the answers are there.

The only thing you really have to ask yourself ( and be honest) : Why do you want to trade ?

also, for access to chinese companies, look for those that are listed in HK instead of the mainland bourses. check out Quamnet.com for HSI charts, sectors etc

if you did order a hamburger in India you would be insulting the vast majority of the Hindu population for the whom the Cow is sacred. Many Indians are vegetarian and even the large Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain communities etc, tend to shy away from parading their beef-eating habits in front of the Hindu neighbours.
I'm surprised that someone as erudite as yourself is so culturally insensitive.

Arun,
it wasn't intended for you. MP6140 posted a message above, the title of which referred to buying a hamburger in India.
What he means is, English is perhaps not your first language, so we should make allowances for any difficulties you may have in translating. His point being that no matter how "bad" your English may be, it's certainly better than our Hindi, Punjabi etc !
So in a way it's a compliment to you.
But I was just pulling his leg because he used "hamburger" as the example, he could just as well have said cheese sandwich or whatever. But the choice of a beef product in India as his example made me chuckle :cheesy: clear ?

if you wish to trade in the USA, then any broker is good, while my personal favorite is AMERITRADE.

very fair, competitively priced and you get a fabulous charting package with it !

they will have all the forms you may need as a non-resident !

enjoy and trade well

Its a bit puzzling that your location is in Washington but yet you need to trade US stocks from India....? As far as I am aware ( and I lived there for many years) there is no Washington in India !

Besides, online trading is becoming more prevalent in India. Try a broker like Indiabulls or Sharerkhan. Both some with their own research and charting package. Its frustrating to access them from outside India !!

Liquidity is not an issue with the bigger stocks. Get in there before the rest of the world`s private investors do!

DOnt wory about our American friend. Its hamburgers now, it `ll be oil in a few years time, and then the fun really starts....
