"You buy 10 million EURUSD @ 1.1126 and then buy another 20 million @ 1.1159.

Calculate your total position and your average entry price...."

B
then you sell 18 million @ 1.1147 what is your remaining position and have you realised a profit or a loss on the trade ?

C
if EURUSD is now trading at 1.1152 calculate your unrealised profit or loss in pip...

Could someone explane to me how to calculate this please and any relative websites that might help me aswell..

Hi Guys,
Could someone help me with this question please.
A
"You buy 10 million EURUSD @ 1.1126 and then buy another 20 million @ 1.1159.

Calculate your total position and your average entry price...."

£10,000,000.00 x 1.1126 = £11,126,000.00

£20,000,000.00 x 1.1159 = £22,318,000.00

Tot Pos = £33,444,000.00

Average Price
( (1 x 1.1126) + (2 * 1.1159) ) / 3 = 1.1148

B
then you sell 18 million @ 1.1147 what is your remaining position and have you realised a profit or a loss on the trade ?

Remaining pos.
12,000,000 * 1.1147 = £13,376,400.00

Loss as sale of 18m is at 1.1147 < 1.1148 below average entry price.

C
if EURUSD is now trading at 1.1152 calculate your unrealised profit or loss in pip...

Remaining pos 12,000,000 x 1.1152 = £13,382,400.00

Pos of profit at 3,000 - equivalent to 1 pip above average entry price.

Could someone explane to me how to calculate this please and any relative websites that might help me aswell..

Thanks in advance:smart:

Remaining situ wrt to pip...

((18m x 1.1147) + (12m x 1.1152) ) / 30 = 1.1149

All logical guess work. No idea if it's correct. Good luck.:whistling

Attila, there's no reason to use £ as the units of total position in your answer.

Buying 10 million EURUSD means buying 10 million EUR, selling the equivalent amount of USD based on the spot rate
