Hi i am new here my first post actually.

I was looking at the time changes of stocks, and i found out that 9:30AM (NYC time)
to 9:35AM stocks increase why? this happens with different stocks and mostly are all the same the price goes up for the first 5 minutes.

However some do plummet within first 5 minutes if a negative news was out before opening start market.

What's your question again? Why stock price change that much on the open? Well that's because, first of all, deals are made intraday, so when markets open, you see a consequent change of price. Due to this comes the second reason - most traders are aware that on the open stocks are very volatile and thus are trying to make profits or minimize loss there, thereby pushing prices further to the edge.
