I am New to trading and tried with IG spreadbetting demo account but need help before I trade with real money.

I have been using a Spreadbetting demo account with IG and find that i cant alway go long or short on the trades that have potential due to the restrictions, ifIG is one of the best brokers to use then why am I unable to trade the stocks which are moving?

I was wondering whats the best Broker to use, as i am currently using IG and like the Proreal Time platform, spreadbetting as it is the same as CFD tradinging but no capital gains TAX.

Where is a good place to learn, I am an architect but learning to trade, I have gone through a lot of videos and follow Tim Sykes and Nathan Michaud, Ichimoku company, (i use the ichimoku indicator), day trading worriors, I follow them on Twitter but they all trade US stocks, which open at like 2pm in the UK.
I would like to be able to buy/short penny stocks (AIM stocks).

I have watch hours of videos by different trainers but still unsure as to what the best way to trade is, I need to swing trade as I have a full time job but aim to be able to make a second income. I am looking for a good trading community in the UK, people to trade with like the US chatrooms. I am thinking ablout joining Tim Sykes or Investors live chat room but they are in the US.

I can spread bet US stocks following the American gurus but I am sure there must be some in the UK.

I also need to find out where to find out about potential compaines which would be good to trade, I use FINVIZ but also need to check for news.

I guess I am just looking for some advice from successful traders in the UK, I work long hours as an architect but would love to be able to switch and do both.

Thsnk you.

I don't see how you can work long hours and trade in real time. Have you thought about swing trading? - review TA at an unhurried pace, research econonmic / political / fundamental factors, form a structured plan for the trade, set your limit orders and stops after the NY close.

Knowing more and more about the subject is key to success in conventional careers / employment. This allows you to handle increasingly complex work and make increasingly complex judgements, bringing more and more lucrative contracts and positions your way. In trading, its more important to work out the minimum you need to know to make the simple decisions - buy or short, hold or close.

Hi Thanks for replying.
I have done a lot of reading and been to some seminars, watched tutorial over years and eveyone has different methods and opinions. I was hoping to find someone or a community in the UK or even London that i could work with and follow as I that that would help with studying and improving together. I was mainly looking at technical analysis and have begum looking at fundamentals, but they are not always correct, or it is delayed or I am too late and unable to trade due to restrications. I guess i am looking for more specific guidance, also i cant set up a ticket order if the market is closed. I was going to start of trading in the evenings and swing trade. I guess I am looking to see what others have done and come up with a real plan.
