Volume shown on a chart?

Hi there,

I currently use City Index, but apparently there isn't a way of displaying volume on a chart. I need to be able to see volume for VPA, and so I need to find something that will let me see volume on a chart.

Ideally I would like a free way of doing this as I'm new to trading and don't want to be paying for extras.

Any help on how I could solve my problem would be greatly appreciated.

Commodities and forex. I'm aware that volume cannot be properly quantified on the foreign exchange market though, so I am just trying to get some volume bars for my commodities charts.

You could try any one of the free MT4 apps.

There's no way to figure out true volume in the forex market due to its size and lack of regulation. On another hand, "Tick volume” ie.MT4 record the number of price changes made during a specific period. It is not the number of contracts traded. A number of studies have indicated that there is no significant difference between the relationship of actual volume and tick volume. We use tick volume and can assume that it represents actual volume." I think most forex brokers' volume is tick I read it on forums.
