FX Automated trading platforms

Does anyone know of a good platform for auto trading? I prefer to not use an EA and write my own programs. I recently heard of a new platform called FXone which allows excel based programing but have not received any feedback from users yet. Anyone tried it yet? Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Thanks very much for the detailed response. I opened a demo today and have begun to try different functions. I think this platform is going to be widely used by traders that want to implement automated strategies.
