Hello to everyone! Since I'm new in "trading zone" I suppose that good start is to find some really good trading course. Anybody could recommend a good live trading course in London? I've heard about Amplify, but they trade only futures. If I don't know how to trade at all, maybe it would be confusing to start with learning how to trade futures. Any ideas? Thanks

dont waste your money :smart:
spend 6 months researching trading and using demos online here and at other forums
after 6 months you will have an idea what you want to do and will be aware of who to ask for help

I am also a newbie v keen to learn and go on a course - can anyone suggest reputable trading courses?
Would there be two options:
1) a plain truth trading course with candlesticks etc
2) a course where someone is trying to sell you there "money map" type software ?

I don't know of a single decent trading course running in London. Training given by Futex and Schneiders is probably the most well thought off but I don't know much about it.
If you are SERIOUS then Bright Trading run a 3 day course with unlimited free follow ups but it's in Las Vegas, I think the next one is in October. The cost is $1000 and the course is well regarded amongst prop traders. They only trade US stocks and to join them after training the min capital contribution is $20,000. I don't trade with Bright and have no connection with them, as always do your own due diligence and do it properly.
To give yourself the maximum chance of success you need, sufficient time, sufficient capital and a solid work ethic.

Not sure why I;m replying to a post started by a spammer or robot but anyway.
The pictures of "dirt management" at Futux looks like a bunch of wideboys. They seem more interested in graduates than prof. traders. Prof traders have to pay deks fees, which makes it more of an arcade.
Schneiders seem better set up for all career levels.

Sidekicker, I am not a spammer or robot it was a genuine post. The poster was asking for a course in London and I replied saying I don't know one however i did know a reputable one that is run twice yearly in Vegas by market veterans.
Generally speaking prop or 'prop' type firms are thin on the ground in the UK compared to the US. It is totally normal for a prop firm to ask for a buy in fee, along with pass through fees for software and data and desk fee if needed. In the last 10 years many prop traders have based themselves remotely to save on the bricks and mortar cost and other life choices.
I cant comment on Futex other than that I know they have some solid professional traders there as do Schneider I cannot comment on their training. If you are interested I would suggest getting in touch with them and discussing your requirements.
