Starting off...

Ok, I have no background or education in trading anything. But I have always been interested in trading currency, but in 43 years have never actually tried it.

Then I stumbled on a this website ( Forex Trading | justSpreads ) while looking for gear ratios for a Porsche 996 Turbo. I didn't find them, but apparently it is run by a retired trader. It interested me. As you can see he has the links to Capital Spreads and is a fan of Dukascopy.

I have opened a demo account at CS, and am going to begin learning all I can. The forum here has alredy been very informative.

So here are my openeing questions;

1. Aside from this forum, what reading do I need? Both subject and source.

2. Is there any conventional wisdom on Capital Spreads? I see they were formerly named Just Spreads. Any reason for the name change?

3. What questions should I be asking? Both myself or others.

Please don't hesitate to talk to me like a three-year-old. I don't scare easily and sometimes it's all I comprehend.

Oh, one other thing. I noticed when I opened the demo account, I had to declare that I was not in the USA or Turkey at the moment I gave the order to buy or sell. How do I get around this legally? I can't run to Tijuana everytime I make a bet...
