For EAs to work, do you have to keep the terminal open

Just curious. It seemed that my EAs used to work when my computer wasn't connected\terminal wasn't open.

That doesn't seem to be the case, though. At least for today.

For most EA's you'd be better with your computer switched off, that way you'll lose less money.

Are you kidding me? I feel like I've woken up and suddenly I'm surrounded by little kids.

I guess since you're a "legendary member" you've forgotten how it is to have a simple, maybe even silly question.

Obviously I don't know that much about EAs. And whenever I googled the problem, I couldn't find anything about "keeping the terminal open" and instead of me trying to figure out the correct search phrase or going through pages of info, I came here to ask a simple question.

I didn't come here for sarcasm and insults. I mean really, if that's all you and the other posters have to respond with, you might as well not respond... at all.

This was only a penny account, so I only lost about $1.

And I guess I'll all keep any further questions to myself. Clearly, this is not the place to ask anything.

If you're messing around with EAs, forex robots and 'make money with zero effort' systems you probably won't get very many serious answers. Most people have realised those don't work. You have to learn to trade, there is no free money.
