Before I actually start writing all the code up in C++ for an automated trading system (quantitative-research - Build an automated algorithmic trading system - Google Project Hosting). I would like to find a review of existing open-source automated trading platforms which can connect to InteractiveBrokers. The platform can be written in C++ or Java. I'm aware of TradeLink but I would like to run off such a system in UNIX/Linux, rather than Windows (in C#). I've looked into JBookTrader, it looks promising.
I would definitely appreciate any comments on the trading platforms you've used, storys you have with those trading platforms.
