hey all

who I am is not important.....but I just wanted to say a few words here about becoming a Doctor that may be of use as you start your journey, or are still pondering on whether you want to consider this honorable vocation :-

1) it takes many years of study and committment and sacrifice
2) it is not easy - it needs brains as well as brawn to succeed
3) there are no guarantees you will succeed - many fall away in the journey
4) the hours are long and sometimes the pay is bad (very bad in training years)
5) When you get there you STILL have to keep running to stay afloat and ahead
6) Many will Envy your success and call you lucky/privilidged if you make it

but to the victors the spoils and lifestyle will accrue........

so I hope this helps :smart:

did I say Doctor.....??

sorry I meant Trader .......:p

and after just having spent 2 hours in my junk e-mail box:eek:

pleeeease dont believe the spindoctors telling you their brilliant system for $1,999 plus taxes will reinvent the wheel and make you an ATM cash machine** with no Trading experience ..........you do need it to survive and succeed so get busy now and start !

use all the big forums and optimise as much Free training as possible as there are zillions of tons of good stuff out there

N

** well you are a cash machine for them !

Can you learn it in a day?

(There are some vendors who are willing to show you how and at a reasonable price - around £1,000)

hey all

yep a stupid thread but so is someone telling you for $1,000 they will make you a Successful Doctor and best in your field in a days tuition or by plugging in a robot

the best advice I an give to any newbie is Trading is one of the hardest professions in the world so dont waste your time and money if you're not serious

if you are serious then roll your sleeves up for the long haul and best wishes for the future

what ..being a Doctor or a Trader ?

N

Becoming a doctor is tightly regulated, so trainers/educators have to fulfil certain requirements before they let them train/educate. On the other hand trading educators/trainers don't have to prove anything (they usually don't like difficult questions regarding their trading performance).

So if you believe them (trading trainers), you can become a trader in no time. It is important not to question their trading performance (not to upset them). Also there is a belief they may be rubbish at trading, but they can somehow teach others how to trade.

Different people = different beliefs.

So trading is comparable to medicine?

Too bad you can take out loans to go to medical school but not for learning to trade.
