The minimum profit is -100%. Risk is the only aspect of trading you can control.

I recommend the Market Wizards series by Jack Schwaeger if you want to study the strategies of top traders. Good luck.

But I don't have much time for trade. I think it would be good for me to trust someone (trader) to trade for me.

Thanks halldorpb :)

You can still trade if you have limited time. I go through times of year when I don't have a lot of time to spend watching the markets, and have still done well. You just need to find an approach that matches your situation. You need to think in terms of longer timeframes.

i'll trade for you. I guarantee 100% a week - (don't trust those internet sites that guarantee a 1000%.)
I suggest selling all your assets, borrowing the full amount on credit cards (maybe apply for several new ones), taking out loans with friends and relatives . And then put the full amount with any broker and give me managing rights. I'll make you rich in less than a year and take a mere 25% of the profit.

Naturally I'm only making this special offer because I sense you are an honest and nice guy and I like to help people.

Roberk,

You should be ashamed of that post.
Ok let me do it without the weak attempt at wit.
There are several regular posters on these trading forums who give the appearance of being concerned and knowledgeable, they politely reply to questions and strive to promote a fine image. They are, however, focussed on one aim- relieving other members of their money.
An example I saw this week from another forum

"I decided to let Thanner at Winning forex.com manage an account of mine. This account started at 40K and within one week Thanner had traded it up to 48K. As a new client he requested I PayPal him 4K, his 50% weekly commission. I did and then the second week of trading began.
In week two we went from 48K to 33K, a pretty big swing. So I looked in at my account and with 33K of capital he was trading 28 standard lots!
Then week three hit. We went from 33K to 17.5K, by the Wednesday. I had to pull the plug and end his trading. Someone else on this board said he is a gambler and I would have to agree. His style is all or nothing.
Ogopogo """

It seems to me Giveit2me came here hoping to find an honest and prudent moneymanager- fair enough. But I wanted to give a hint of what he is more(or just as) likely to find.

I used to run a small hedge fund with no loosing years. I have posted money of live trades on here nobody takes any notice of them. I challenge the so called top trader,TradeVector to post live trades with me, But he run.

Roberk you should not hand you money over to anyone, did this man give a few weeks of live trades to see how he performed.

There are maney people on here who talk a good game but sadly they only want to look good. Ego will fail you, If you let it get in the way.

CJ
CJ12,
I can't remember reading any of your posts so have no idea what your track record is.
But let me say that posting a few winning trades is not an indication of being a reliable professional.
I have 2 systems on www.collective2.com that have over a 90% win rate - but they are their for my own interest. And definitely don't make me someone worth sending money to.

giveit2 me ? guaranteed money ?

with lines like that, this guy is a disaster waiting to happen . he makes the lives of the many con artist's out there a cinch.

Unlike long-term investing, i doubt there are valid benchmarks that can be used to provide a definitive answer to your question. There are simply too many variables -- in regard to both performance and risk -- to offer a single value. It is probably also difficult to give a meaningful range of possibilities (other than the -100% result already mentioned).

Such is the conundrum inherent to speculative ventures, which trading certainly is regardless of whom is managing your account.
