thinkORswim DELAYED DATA....solutions?

Is there anywhere I can get charts for futures and delay them 20 minutes so they will match the quotes/fills that ThinkorSwim paperTrade is giving me?

Is there anyway to get realtime quotes/fills?


Is there a better platform in general for simulation trading that will allow me to do this stuff either completely delayed or completely realtime...

as it stands, the fills I get and the quotes it gives me are delayed 20 minutes, but the charts are not....

If you want to get real time quotes on paper money, your going to have to open an account and fund it, Then your data will match up to charts

This has been a thorn in my side for a while. The charts and stock quotes are all up to date, but tos delays option quotes and the order book by 20 minutes. I also hate how everything is talked on their system. I'd like to do all of my simulations on my local machine without sending my paper trades out.

Ninja trader seems to solve both of those problems. Just find a broker with demo accounts that provide the required data. The only downside is that these accounts are usually limited to a certain time frame.

Unfortunately I an unable to get ninja on my work machine. I can run tos desktop because it's java, but I don't have permissions to install. Hence I am stuck with no ladders until I can figure out how to make ninja portable.

Yes, a time based demo account from a broker will drive NinjaTrader which you can use for free. Alternatively, you can purchase a market data subscription from Kinetick which is much cheaper than other data feeds.
