IG Index platform- difference between Funda, Equity, Deposit?

Hi,
As im new to spread betting i am finding the certain phrases a bit confusing,

- i spoke to a guy at IG who explained it great but as i was typing what he said i didnt fully take it in, i then somehow deleted the notes so called them back up but had a woman try to explain but done so very badly so would be good to hear you guys definition.

on the IG index platform what do the following mean in layman terms:

Funds £
Equity £
Deposit £

There is also an 'available to deal' box which i thought solved my problem but they said this includes rolling profit/losses.

Funds - the amount of money your have in your account not including any open positions
Equity - the amount of money you have after taking into account the positions you have open (i.e. if you closed everything this is what you'd be left with)
Deposit - each position locks up a certain amount of money in your account relating to margin requirements - the deposit is the sum of all these margin requirements.
