How does a newbie start and what sort of information should one be looking at when starting day trading in fx? A mentor, training program, a stratagey or a trading firm?

Firstly, check the links in my signature.

Then
1) demo to get an idea of wtf is going on
2) micro account risking 10p/tick
3) 50p-£1 per tick

If you can't stop losing during (2) no point doing (3). £20 says you'll jump straight to (3) like most noobs.

Hi Unreal,
Have you read the Stickies in the First Steps and FAQ forum?
I’m New To TRADING – Where Do I Start?
Essentials Of First Steps
They are written specifically to address the issue you highlight and set newbies on the right path. What you won't find - here or anywhere else - is a simple cookie cutter solution that produces consistent profits, but requires little or no work on your part.

This guy's a troll. He's been asking similar questions for a few months and very rarely posts a 2nd time in any of his threads.

Maybe he's just too scared to pull the trigger. I know someone who only started after about 2 years of joining T2W. You know who you are... and I am surprised you didn't contact me when you started, silly.

I would advise you forget about looking for a mentor or for a strategy on a forum.

If you are totally green, you need to know the basics before you do anything.

Try the course at babypips.

Once you understand everything and have a context then you can begin the long and ardous process of refining your approach.
