Hi all
I am looking for a high leverage/low margin req. broker where i can trade US stocks (it should have all the stocks, not just 20-30). The best one i could find offers a 10:1 leverage which is really low compared to the 100:1 or ever greater that i'm used to when trading forex.

I'm not quite sure how leverage works with stocks or what is on offer as like you I've only ever really used/dealt with/looked at forex.

I know this is the first steps forum but I'll tell you this,

You have been told by other members on this site that doing some of YOUR OWN research will produce result. In the last few days you have asked some of the most basic questions that can be answered quite easily either on this site or using your noodle sorry I meant GOOGLE. Do some leg work yourself man there is no short cuts in this game. There is also a multitude of books that can be bought and read on the subject too. SOMETIMES HARD WORK PAYS OFF.

First of all your comparison between stocks and Forex is not accurate because stocks generally have wider daily range , anyway i didnt hear of a real broker who offers such high leverage on stocks , maybe u mean cfds and spreadbetting then you can check IGindex , the margin req for AAPL is 5% if u dont put a stop , if u put a stop it will be lower than 5% , ofcourse it depends on the stock , also they have 2000 US stocks .

Buyer beware : you dont need high leverage on stocks it could kill u .
