strategys 2 use

Hi there, i am relatively new to trading, i have been trading for a couple of months now experimenting with new strategies including the EMA and fib retracements. Although these methods are decent the profit loss ratio i am getting is 50-50.
any advice 2 other strategys i cud use? or wat i cud improve on?

I wasted 2 years of my life and I faced the same problems until I read this paper:

Some people have an edge just because of the speed and efficiency by which they find trading ideas. By the time you test one idea they have already tested 10,000. How can you compete? No way. I found out the hard way.
