Trading Prop firms

Hi,
I was wondering, which kind of trading do the prop firms make ?
Tecnical analysis ? discretionary trading ?
They don't require strong numerical skills but if you have to trade the volatility with options or other kind of trading, how can you even understand the strategies without a minimum of matematical knowledge ?

More than decent...decent math is known by the average person...to trade option volatility, you'd definitely need to know ode's, pde's, stochastics, etc...that will basically get you started using black-scholes...if you want to go further, then you'll need to learn much more advanced techniques...of course, computers can do the math for you, but if you don't have a fundamental base to understand what the computers are calculating, then you won't be able to use the techniques effectively.

What are some reputable prop firms?
