I want to know which certification would be best:-

2> IMC Route
3> CFA route

My Intention is to not to be a Investment banker, but to IT Project Manager in the Investment bankign domain. Please can you advise what the bets route i can take?

you have experience within the right area "Financial services", you shouldn't need to obtain these certifications as you are dealing with IT related projects and not financial projects. I have a friend "project manager" that works for Reuters and he has completed contracts at various financial institutions including investment banking. His skills covers nothing financial and he focuses only on their IT projects. I personally think you are wasting your time with those certifications unless you plan on using the skills obtained in other areas of the business such as financial related projects.

Many thanks for your reply.I understand your response, but soemtime when i am looking to get in IT project management for any of INVESTMENT Banks, they ask for previous exp in INV Banks & in absence of this some qualifications..hence the chicken & egg situation & the search...Thanks:confused:

The CFA qualification is certainly the most valuable. It's probably the equivalent of an MBA.
