A must see documentary

I watched an interesting and compelling documentary last night called “Open outcry”. I think anyone interested in trading should watch it.

hmm, If you have got Sky then the business channel (567 I think) is running this documentary . Quite a few trading related programs on it, the odd trading scandals, dow and jones history and such. And conventioanl business betterment advice. Not sure how long its been running , but some very good watching to be had.

Yes. I watched it on Sky business channel. Eye opening it was. I have made some mistakes trading (buying when I wanted to sell). But imagine doing it with 1000 lots I sometimes wonder if this can explain the "false" breakouts you get sometimes....a newbie clerk giving the wrong hand signals...It must happen?

Yeah, I didnt see it all, but i'll catch it again. Wonder how pit traders would cope going "Off Floor". bound to all go that way at some point ?

I suppose they can feed off the noise, but you can see that or hear that noise looking at a chart ?

Point I noticed that made sense was the traders attitude to money, you or they didnt fear it, the risk of it. I dont mean that in a lax approach but more like, probably assists with agility or the traders freedom to reflex and react to change when it hits him/her. Whether profit or loss, a change needs to happen when perceived.
