Hi

I decided to go to the Traders Expo in New York some time back. As I have a few friends who live over there, it was a good opportunity to visit them and take a butchers at what is happening on the other side of the pond.

I will post my experience tomorrow as I need some shut eye. However, the one memory that will stick with me is US traders wear some really iffy jumpers.

Hi,
I was also at the TradersExpo in NYC last week. My girlfriend couldn't believe how poorly most traders dress. I normally don't care about that sort of thing, but I was shocked. My only explanation is that maybe all their money is tied up in positions. lol.

When you say iffy... how old are the traders?

In fairness, how you dress has no bearing on trading success. I've tried dressing pretty smart (smart trousers and shirt) and dressing down (combats, ripped t-shirt)... it doesn't matter how I dress, I still give my money to my broker. ;)

I say there steady on with the ageism(wink), my flares are still in good working order and I look rather cool in them.

Is it the case that these traders in the USA are still wearing their stars and stripes braces?

Well, I couldn't imagine 20 yr old traders wearing dodgy jumpers, but maybe it's possible...

The subprime crisis, rising oil prices, falling dollar are one thing. However 20 year olds in suspect attire, its the final signal SELL SELL SELL
