Looking for help obtaining EOD data.

I use Zeebob stock screener but over the last month their service of supplying EOD data has become very poor. Emails not sent or not sent on time and no replies to my emails!!!! I believe they get their data from Yahoo.

Does anybody know where i can get this data without having to go through Zeebob. All i want is the .txt file that Zeebob should be sending to me each day.

Thanks in advance.

Scott

If all you want is EOD stock quotes in text file format then you can just go to yahoo and
download them from there.

The link below would give you the quotes for Apple.

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=aapl

Click on Historical Prices on the left of the screen to get your EOD quotes.

If you want to automate the process you can get a program called AmiQuote which comes free
with the evaluation copy of AmiBroker.

Hope this helps.

Yahoo screener

HI,
can I actually limit the yahoo screener to only the stocks inside my portfolio, or at least sort my portfolios according to any "themes"...for example... biggest winner and/or losers percentages? I seem not to be able to figure out how I can do that. Could anybody tell me (if it is possible in the first place)

Thanks very much,
Cosmoglobe

I tried using data from yahoo in the past but it seems to me they are not split-adjusted and thus useless for back testing purposes. Do you agree ?

I would suggest that you forget about yahoo data.....or for that mater ANY FREE data.....it is always riddled with errors and inconsistencies in my experience.....

Data is the single most important part of TA......

I remember a statement I read long time back - 'S.ht' in 'S.ht' out....

Just subscribe to a reliable data supplier.....
